Built Environment Communications Group (BECG) launches East of England Region

May 8, 2018 (London, UK) – BECG, the UK’s largest Built Environment specialist communications agency, has announced further expansion this month with the launch of a new region – the East of England.

BECG’s East of England region will be led by Director Ally Kennedy and will serve a portfolio of clients across the housebuilding, energy, infrastructure and retail sectors. Clients include Taylor Wimpey, EDF Energy, Highways England, McCarthy&Stone and Vattenfall.

The region will comprise BECG’s existing Norwich and Cambridge offices, in addition to a team of consultants based out of its London office. It covers Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Kent, Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire.

Prior to joining BECG in 2016 as part of its previous brand Remarkable Group, Kennedy was formerly a Director and Advisory Board Member at planning communications specialist Curtin&Co. In his East of England remit, Kennedy will drive BECG’s regional growth and advise its portfolio of clients with the support of a team of senior consultants including Associate Directors Krystian Groom (formerly of Curtin&Co) and Matt Crisp (formerly of Transport for the North). The East region will also work closely with the Group’s Head of Infrastructure and Energy, Jamie Gordon.

BECG Chief Executive Officer Stephen Pomeroy said: “I am delighted to announce the launch of our latest region and proud that BECG has a team of talented professionals who continue to deliver exceptional communications support for our clients.”

Commenting on the announcement, Kennedy said: “The launch reflects BECG’s growing presence in the East of England and involvement in some major projects both for the region and the UK. It’s a fantastic team to be leading and a very exciting time ahead for the Group.”

BECG’s East of England launch follows Remarkable Group’s rebrand and repositioning to become BECG in 2017, following the acquisition of London property communications specialist HardHat.

Across its nine UK-wide offices, BECG provides its private and public sector clients with expert counsel and communications services which deliver commercial value, maximise opportunities, manage reputations and reduce risk.

BECG’s client base spans all aspects of the Built Environment, with residential and commercial property – including land acquisition, development and housebuilding; energy and environment – including energy generation and supply, recycling and waste management; and infrastructure – including transport, health, education and retail.
